The "final word" about the Cartoon Riots?
Here's an interesting take from a bunch of cartoonists on all the brouhaha in Islamistan.
Most of it's pretty predictable, you have to scroll to the very end to get to the good part:
"Chronicle cartoonist Don Asmussen will take on the subject in Wednesday's comic, but he has decided that it won't include an image of the prophet.
"It's disturbing to see a culture go crazy over these cartoons when all these horrible things have been done in the name of Islam," said Asmussen, referring to the Sept. 11 attacks and other terrorist acts.
"This is about distortion," he added. "You'd wish that the kinds of riots happening now had happened when bin Laden distorted Islam." "
But as my friend Terry in SF notes: "Of course, he assumes that bin Laden was distorting Islam. I would say the jury's still out on that ..."
